Seeding Stories: Weaving Communities February-March 2011
A storytelling workshop series dedicated to fostering active and culturally diverse community leaders.
After a 7 part storytelling workshop, members of the Urban Native Youth Association, Vancouver Area Survivors of Torture and MOSAIC (new immigrants to Canada) told their stories at the UNYA Learning Centre.
The Vancouver Society of Storytelling is dedicated to building community and empowering both individuals and organizations through story-telling and story-listening. Seeding Stories is an example of one the many ways storytelling can be applied for social change.
VSOS was honoured and excited to work with partner organizations, MOSAIC (http://www.mosaicbc.com/) Urban Native Youth Association (http://www.unya.bc.ca/) as well as Vancouver Area Survivors of Torture (http://www.vast-vancouver.ca/).
This project was made possible through funding from
The Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia
